The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts graduated 106 new chefs!

On Saturday 22nd of January 2022, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) hosted its 12th graduation ceremony at the Cultural Palace of Al Hussein Youth City under strict COVID protocols. 

H.E. Mr. Lukas Gasser, Ambassador of Switzerland to Jordan, attended the ceremony that gathered the Royal Academy’s Management, Faculty, and employees. Parents of the graduates were also present to witness the great achievement of the Class of 2021 who were receiving their 2-years Culinary Diploma.

The graduating chefs were congratulated by H.E. Lukas Gasser for choosing the Culinary Arts education for its rewarding future career path and various possibilities it offers. He also pointed out that Jordan has a massive potential in Tourism and Hospitality, and this crucial economic sector is a fantastic choice for youth. His Excellency also mentioned the positive and fruitful outcomes resulting from the Swiss dual-education system applied by the Royal Academy through its partnership with École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, the world’s No. 1 University in Hospitality and Leisure Management.

Director, Chef Jacques Rossel proudly congratulated the graduates and extended his appreciation to their parents, families and sponsors for supporting them in achieving their dream and passion. He also reflected on the main milestones of their 2-years journey, building their skills and knowledge through the Academy’s values.

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Technical University College, established in 2008 following the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II, to raise the level of education in the Tourism and Hospitality Sector, and reorient young men and women toward education related to the technical market. RACA is an Associate Member of the Network of EHL-certified Schools and offers a 2-years Diploma in Culinary Arts and a 4-Years Bachelor’s Degree in food & Beverage Management.
