The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified schools is launching a Bachelor program in Food & Beverage Management!

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA), an Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools, has announced its latest study program: a Bachelor in Food & Beverage Management, launched in collaboration with the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, world’s N°1 University in Hospitality and Leisure Management, in the framework of the status of Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools, during a media event held at the campus of the Academy.

After many years of successfully delivering a Two-Year Diploma in Culinary Arts, RACA was approved to become a Technical University College and therefore can now offer both a Diploma and a Bachelor Degree.

During the press conference attended by many media representatives, it was announced that the program was now open for registration and the Academy would be ready to deliver the Bachelor program for its Fall semester starting mid-October 2021.

His Excellency Dr. Wajih Owais, Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, expressed his joy with RACA’s transformation and its growth into a Technical University College, and the launch of this important specialization for the Hospitality Industry. He explained that the program will combine Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Management. Students will receive a hands-on program delivered entirely in English, including two internship semesters taking place in one of the best 5* hotels in Jordan or abroad. Upon completing of their studies, successful graduates will be fully prepared for the hospitality industry locally and internationally.

“Great efforts have been put to prepare this Major in collaboration with the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (RACA is an Associate Member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools). The program reflects the growing needs of the industry, and the curriculum is developed to answer the challenges a professional in hospitality may face in today’s market. Eventually, employability of RACA graduates is key, and no efforts can be spared to ensure the study program is aligned with the industry needs. Eventually students will have numerous job opportunities once they have graduated from this program”; Chef Jacques Rossel, Director of the Academy, said during the conference. He added: “Facilitators and Practical Instructors are prepared through training and development courses taking place at EHL campus, and all are very excited to start this new venture”.

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts is a Jordanian non-profit educational institution that was created in 2008 to fulfill the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to establish a specialized College that provides the highest level of international education in Culinary Arts and Hospitality in Jordan, and to introduce the Swiss experience, that strongly combines theoretical and practical education.

The Academy is one of the development projects of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), which aims to support youth employment, women empowerment, assists domestic tourism and reduces the use of external expertise in the hotel and restaurant sector.
